A new online poker world champion has been found after a grueling three month poker challenge. Yann Lelievre, a Frenchman was crowned the latest world champion after defeating some of the best online poker players that the world has to offer. In order to become the world champion, Lelievre would first have had to play in local poker leagues and then win a national tournament. Once he became the national champion, he would have been eligible to play in the international tournament. He played against fifty five other players in the World Challenge Main Event that took place in Decemeber. Lelievre beat all of his opponents to win this event and Kahnawake-licensed titanpoker.com crowned him the Titan Poker World Champion and awarded him $100,000 in prize money.

Lelievre still cannot believe that he won the world championship. He states that he only began playing poker in 2006. He loved the passion of the game. He stated "I became Titan Poker World Champion with a three of a kind, but just before the pot, I only had enough for the big blind." Lelievre plans to continue playing online poker and hopes to improve in order to achieve more online poker titles. Lelievre realizes that he is a very young player still and thus has a lot to learn. This start to his online poker career is an excellent boost up the ladder of his experience and will only help him to continue to improve his online poker game.
