Thursday Jan 17, 2008Ivanka Trump gets the nod for Casino's Board

On Wednesday, the state Casino Control Commission gave Ivanka Trump the final approval she needed to serve on the board of directors of Trump Entertainment Resorts, which operates three casinos in Atlantic City.

Ivanka Trump is not only beautiful but also extremely business minded like her father “The Donald”. The 26-year-old daughter of Donald and Ivana Trump had previously received temporary approval in the month of July. The final approval was pending based on normal procedure of completing an investigation into her background and finances, which happens to be a standard practice for all pending casino board members.

On Wednesday, Ivanka told the Associated Press "I'm very excited! I've been on the board for several months now, and this is an opportunity to continue to contribute. The company is at a point where we need to make a lot of important decisions, and I bring a voice of a different generation, and also a female voice to the debate."

Ivanka Trump currently serves as vice president of development and acquisitions of the Trump Organization LLC. She was not present to attend the casino commission hearing in Atlantic City, but was represented by attorney Loretta Pickus, from Trump Entertainment Resorts, who urged the commissioners to approve Ivanka.

The Donald was delighted with the news and is reported to have said “"She's a very capable person, aside from being beautiful. We are very happy for her!"”

Ivanka Trump is also taking on greater responsibility on the popular reality show called "The Apprentice". This new responsibility means we are going to see and hear more of Ivanka Trump in the near future!
